Newbe from Texas

Hello from Lake Jackson Texas.
I have been a looker for a long time seriously thinking about jumping in and getting some kind of gasser like the look and the speed. Just starting to get an idea of what I like and what I would like to get. Has any one seen an old Impala on straight axles? From what I have seen that might turn out to be a very pricy gasser.
