Hey all,My name is Randy and I jumped on because I have a A few? about My 53 bizz coupe.
This car was built and had a build thread hear on H.A.M.B. so alot of you may remember it.Any way I had the body lifted off so I could blast and power coat the frame.
Im ready to fit it for a ls1 power plant. The problem is The shop that lifted the body off did not mark the fire wall location.
If any one out there can give me the distance from the front frame to the fire wall or some other way to get a real number it would be a huge help.I had one guy tell me it was 31 7/8.If that were true the front pulley would be right up to the front cross member.I have seen ls1 in a 53 with no clip and it looks like there is 8" space to the front cross member.
I half to get this one right because when I ship it back to have the body dropped on it it's going to have a running ls1 motor,Muncie 4 speed, ford 8.8 locker.fuel sys and 4 wheel brakes, ext system, drive shaft.Moving the fire wall back would not be the end of the world,But I don't need the practice.

    Thanks Randy
