Newbie asking parts questions

    Very thankfull for any help solving these questions

    1.What type of washers @ nut do i use on the inside of the backing plates (41 ford) i have the nuts

    2 What type or brand of proportion valve would be best for my brake system.I am running 41 ford juice on front and ford 8 inch(mavrick)rear end with a frame mounted brake and master cylinder

    3. Where would be the best vendor to buy old ford brake parts

    Should not need a proportioning valve for a drum/drum setup. You may or may not need residual pressure valves, if you run an early dual master cylinder, or any single one, it will probably have these built in.

    Thanks i hope i dont sound to stupid. a buddy stop by the shop yesterday and said i needed the valve. i was not for sure so i thought i would ask

    A good source for early brake parts is C&G Early Ford Parts in Escondido, Ca. www.cgfordparts.com. their print catalogue is a good reference to keep around too.
