Of course I didn't read the instructions first, just posted a question. I'm an old fart, Dad and I built a '40 Ford 2 door with a 303 Olds engine in the early 60's while I was still in high school. Later, I built a 3 window coupe with a body and frame I found in the city dump at Amarillo, texas. I bought a '56 Chrysler and stripped everything outt of it and used most on the coupe. The front end was part of a farm wagon when I bought it. Turns out, it was nearly a bolt it. I titled it as a 31 DeSoto although I never was sure of it's make. Then there was the '53 Chevy pickup that I used all the parts from a '56 Chevy car that had been crashed to make road worthy. Seems like every time I got something built, hard times would come and I'd have to sell. I just bought a T Bucket and I'm having fits with the brakes and a shot rearend. Hopefully, I can get those issues resolved and get it on the road.
Well, that's enough talk about me. Hope to meet some of you down the road.

    Welcome, Dave,
If you see Don Mellon, say hi to him, and we'll see if we can get a Saturday cruise up to Mtn View...I play fiddle, mandolin, and guitar, so Mtn View is one of my favorite places.

Thanks for the welcomes. I can't even play a radio but I like living here in Mountain View. We used to vacation here when we were Okies. I have high hopes of getting my T Bucket on the road soon.

Dave, I grew up in OK (Tulsa, to be exact). Also lived in Bartlesville for a few years (will be headed there the first weekend in May for the Stray Kat 500)

Small world. We lived in Broken Arrow before I retired. Then moved here.

  10. Welcome Dave, Small world indeed.
I live in Broken Arrow, but I've made that Jonesboro area drive since 1966, first from faytteville, now from B.A. My folks live in Keiser and I store a lot of my stuff there.

Sup? Working on my T Bucket. I bought it thinking it was another fibreglas replica only later to discover it is genuine Henry steel! It was build in about 1980 as best I can determine. Had(has) brake issues that I hope to finally resolve today. Has an unknown pedigree front axle that required a good deal of machining to use early Chevy spindles. That allowed installation of better (disk) brakes. Fingers are crossed!
Next up will be replacement of an unknown brand of rear axle in which someone welded the spiders.

Got the brakes done and they work great! Had to find someone to bend the axle to get the camber back as the Chevy spindles have a different angle than the unknown axle. At least I can drive it now!
    Appreciate all the welcomes.
