hi all ive been lurking around here for a bit, and was amazed at the amount of knowledge, experience and good taste everyone seems to have. im a mechanical engineering student hoping to start on a rat rod build up to hone my skills, then one day build something really special. being only 18, i have very little experience, except hours spent drooling over pics (of rods [hot rods {cars}]) and reading tech artices. i can weld, sort of haha, its not pretty but it works. i drive a HR holden, for any of you who know what that is. i constantly piss off my dad (who bought it for me) by pulling things off it to change a gasket or tweak a bit more power out of it, as theres lots of room for improvement. so prepare yourselves for alot of stupid questions...
