    Hey All,

New guy to the forum. I joined the forum to learn from the pros and hopefully meet some traditional hotrod fans in the Austin area. I am building my first hotrod and can use all the help and input I can get. Here are the major components of my project and a few pics from day 1.

When I bought the car, it was already chopped and the frame boxed and z'ed. The front end was somewhat together and the engine was basically a paper weight. The rest was left for me to finish.

1930 Model A Sedan, Model A frame, SBC 350, TH350, Ford 9", 40-47 Ford dropped axle front end

    Nick

Sounds good. Are there any HAMB gatherings in Austin?

Yo Lux! Sonny mentioned that you build some bitchin rods! Stop by and say hi next time you're in the area.

Quick update...rolled out the chassis for the first time over memorial weekend. It's starting to look like a hot rod! Repaired the ladder bars that came with it and positioned the rear in the correct spot. Fabricated a front and rear panhard bracket. Still fine tuning the last chassis details.

I've rebuilt the 350 and rebuilt the 9". Rebuilding the tranny is the next step. Hope to roll the chassis under the body and see how bad these tires rub on my wheel wells next. :(
