Been lurking for awhile, and I like your style here. Plus I have met some of you before. My current projects include a early 60's Front engine flathead dragster, that was going to debut at the run-what-ya-brung event in Reynolds GA. But Being originally from Kansas, I don't care for tornadoes and thunderstorms. No enclosed trailer either. I did run it thru my neighborhood on Fri so's I could get my fix. Also working on a unrestored '32 Ford 4dr that my Dad raced in the 50's. I rebuilt the full flatty thats in it about 15 yrs ago. Still has the brush paint job he applied in '52. I like it that way... I did get a chance to run it at last years run-what-ya-brung. First time it had been on a dragstrip in close to 50 yrs. Almost made me tear up. I also have a '55 Crown Vic thats all stock, but I'm dying to put a window rattler 292 Y-block in it soon. Allready adapted a C-4 trans to the old 272 thats in it now. Lots of other shit going on too. I have been consumed with a passion for old iron since I could walk/talk according to my parents. Been building engines and fixing cars for about 30+ yrs. I think I'm in very good company here. This is the first time I've joined a message board, so it'll take me a bit to figure this stuff out, plus I don't type so good. I took typing in highschool to meet chicks. Nobody told me 30 yrs ago we would be communicating with computers this way! I'll post some cool pics when I figure out how to. - Mike
Welcome Big Mike. Bummer about the weather in Reynolds. I was looking forward to making some passes too. Looking forward to meeting you next time. Dave
Welcome Sir - can't wait to see that FED - bummer RWUB was rained out. Johnny Paycheck - would be a good place to come do some burn outs! Hope to see you around sometime soon.
Look forward to meeting you. We try to have a meet and greet once a month so keep an eye out for that.
Thanks for the warm welcome! Like I said, I think I'm in good company here, and am looking forward to hooking up. Damn its Friday again! Gotta sweep out the shop, the Fri nite crew will be here soon. - Mike
