New to hot rodding. Completed a 69 truck in the past and learned what too much cam can do to an otherwise decent project. Helped Dad restore the following Chevy's: 51 Belair, 51 Coupe, 54 Chevy Truck. My 8 yr old made a trade with Dad for a 52 Sedan 2 dr without my knowledge! (4 White Walls for the car) Papaw needed garage room! Papaw's happy, my boy is happy, and I'm out $800+ in a new project. Thank goodness it is an original 35,000 mile solid car with good stainless, no dents , some rust above headlights and only one floor pans needs replacing. My goal 450-500 hp lq9/l92 auto with Mustang II bolt in front suspension. No power steering, no power brakes, all motor! Car restored to look somewhat original with lower stance, steel painted wheels and wide tires out back. (minitubs) Still debating white walls or black wall low profile tires. I hope to gain enough knowledge to make this project a success.
