I have been on here for a couple of months, great guys. During the past few years when I had a question it would usually end up being a Hamb'er that had the answer. I have been working on cars, motorcycles and stuff since I was 12. I was given a box of old car mags and was hooked. My first carb was on a Harley that was sputtering and hesitating...I was 13..... I got my first garage car, a 57 Chevy when I was 14. I took the engine apart and figured out how everything worked. I learned to do sheet metal repair and bondo. 63 Comet, 66 chevelle and 70 Nova, 72 SS Chevelle, 76 Starfire(300HP V6) followed for street cars. Went to college for a degree in Automotive Tech. Worked in a machine shop, tire store and Chevy and Buick dealers. Started racing on 1976 building an asphalt street stock that my cousin drove. Moved to the mid-west and built dirt limited late models. When the last driver destroyed the car and refused to help work on it, I built a dirt Modified and drove it myself. I got the regional rookie of the year award in 1988. Raced a few more years then the big D.....Limped down to Florida where I worked with a few different racers and helped a few guys with their street rods. In the mean time I got a P.I. license and a fire investigators certification. Then I recieved the Vehicle Fire Investigation Certification. I have been a Master Certified Tech since 1979 and my company, Lyon Investigations, has been in business since 1996. If it has to do with cars, I have done it or seen it......
