Hi guys, Greetings from Big Sky Country Montana - I have looked at your site on and off for quite a while but just getting around to joining. I'm a cross over from MetalMeet - the sheet mental forum. I have been building cars for way more years than I would like to admit. I have been dirt track stock car racing, some off-road, auto cross racing, but those days of beating my poor body to death are behind me now and I enjoy building Street Rods. My latest endeavor is a 1933 Chevy 5 window coupe I started a couple of years ago. I soon realized I needed way more room than I had, so I am in the process of adding on to my 24X24 garage with another 32 feet giving me a total of 24X56. With all the equipment I am building from my time with MetalMeet - English wheels, planishing hammers and the like, I needed more room. The 33 is made up of a whole bunch of racing parts I have been carting around for years - much to the shagrin of my wife. The engine for the coupe is from an old 4x4 I use to race, it's a 1969 455 Hurst Olds backed up with a Turbo 400. The rear end is a Halibrand Quick change from an old modified dirt car. I'm leaving the Wide 5 axles with the Halibrand just to be different. This and MetalMeet are the 2 best sites on the web and I hope I can contribute.
    Thanks Bob Vinton - BigSkyBob

Welcome aboard from Maryland. A little way off from you, but still home to one of the top dirt tracks in the nation. High banked clay 5/8 mile track with 900' straights front and back. Good way to cut your teeth on blood and guts, right? Started sneaking into the track as an underaged in 1961 when there were only 2 classes of racers. You were either a 6, or an 8 cylinder jalopy. The late models shortly there after were tri-5 Chevy's. Those were the days!

Welcome from Nebraska. I am originally from the Big Sky Country of Montana. Great area. Sounds like a cool project.
