Man named Steve from New York just left here after we repaired a fuel leak on his truck I smelled (good thing I throw NOTHING away so we could get him back on the road).

He was here dropping parts off for our 60 Electra 225 convertible (been broken since last summer, couldn't find an a/c type water pump).

He was also looking at my 70 model 455 4 speed automatic Skylark that I don't know how to adjust the transmission in (won't stay in first and I don't want to chance an incorrect adjustment and burn it up).

Anyhow he just kept saying HAMB this and HAMB that then I told him about going to the ECTA this past weeke-nd for the first time and again he was talking about ya'll ,so now here I am.

I have some nice pics from Maxton if someone will let me send them to them to post.
I'm afraid if I shrink them too small to post they will distort when I need to resize them larger.

Anyhow that is it here from down South.

Hey John.... Nice to see you made it to the HAMB. Glad the parts arrived safely.

And welcome. Hope you enjoy this place as much as the rest of us do.

    Hey John,

Didn't know you were here too! I know I already said so earlier but thanks again for being so cool on the parts and locating Steve to deliver them.He and I talked for a good while and I always love pulling rabbits out of my hat to come up with a part that will work in an emergency.

Is Steve from NJ or NY?I wasn't clear on that.

    Scott,

I am between Matthews and Monroe basically. How bout you?

I have 122 pics from Maxton but only about 25 of my favorite resized to 700 by about 500

Ah, I still here the kids upstairs playing, gotta run

    Mister Stevie !

Thanks again for turning me on to the site here as well as being nice enough to deliver the parts at a reasonable price.

I'll definitely be p***ing your name along, if you like, for other folks needing some help with vehicles or parts.

Still been thinking about that Ford you had on the back of there.Hardly had waken up this morning and I was already thinking "Yep, Power Stroke Diesal, manual transmission, big black leather interior and one of those original color dark green paint jobs with black wheels" I'd drive that thing every day if I owned it:)

Anyhow thanks for the good stories and spending a little wrenching time with me, enjoyed the visit.

If you are ever in the area again give me a shout.

Boy, that would be a dream but as you can see I am a little car poor with all the current projects.

Always looking for stuff for the 60 though !
