A buddy of mine told me about this site, and sent me a link to a thread about Galaxies. So, naturally, I wanted to show off my POS-someday-awesome-rod here, and that's why I joined! I've got a '63 Galaxie 2-door non post that I'm working on restoring. I got it for $500 from a guy, and aside from changing the oil, shocks, starter and various filters it's been running pretty well for about a year now. Soooo much I want to do with this car! Right now it has a 390FE, with a stock single-point distributor, an aftermarket dual-plane intake, and a 750cfm Holley carb that's just being a b**ch to get tuned. Not that I'm bitter . I've got a '65 Motocraft dual-point I'm rebuilding (well, it's sitting on my desk in parts, that counts as "rebuilding" right?). I also have a bunch of other stuff to do to fix it up too. Gotta replace a fender (fortunately I've got my spare!), need new bumpers, new differential (want to upgrade to a 3.75 or close to it), throw in a '64 toploader, maybe see if I can get a tri-power intake, etc. etc. etc. I figure in a couple years it'll be awesome. For now I just drive it around and act like it's already there . Probably why my milage is so poor......
