Well, what can I say? I'm a car guy like all here. I got my love of cars from my dad and my uncle, but mostly the later. He taught me the basics, "righty-tighty, lefty-loosey". My first and second attempts at building a traditional rod failed miserably, but I'm here because I know it's where my heart belongs. There's nothing like sitting behind the wheel of an old car, it just takes me back in time. Back in time to place where things were alot more innocent and simple. I've been scoping out the articles and stories on the Jalopy Journal and The HAMB for the last couple of years, but only recently joined. You can say that a chance encounter with two members on their way to Austin for the Round-Up, prompted me to get on and introduce myself. I recently sold the car pictured, which was my second attempt at a traditional rod. You can say that I'm on the prowl for what I'm sure will be my first success, a 50-51 Ford Custom, and who knows with any luck I'll be joining you guys in Austin next year.

Thanks for the welcome, guys!! As for the good iron I've got my parts stashes all scoped out. I know of a few places with some good southwest metal. Sorry, no 30/31 doors. I do know of a guy with a complete 29 Sedan, bout the same shape as mine was, except his is all in pieces. It would make someone a great project!
