Greetings! I'm Glen, I'm 58 years young and I live on the bottom side of the planet. Married with 5 kids,6 grandkids, 1 mortgage, 1 (non-rod-but-cl***ic) car, 1 dog, 2 cats, and I'm not getting any younger. My first encounter with rodding was in late 1963 when a trip to the doctor from high school landed me a copy of the October 63 Car Craft magazine someone had left in the waiting room. I'd never seen anything like it before, and one car in particluar,(Gary Hendrickson's tall T bucket) fired my imagination enough to pinch the page out of the mag and keep it for years. My first car in 1966 was a mint 1941 Willys sedan, wish I still had her, and I had a couple of Ford V8's around this time as well. I started a number of rod builds over the years, but never actually finished any of them, and I pretty much gave up on ever owning a rod in 1990 when I sold the last project car. But you can't keep a good rodder down, and recently working on my cl***ic car, (1978 Triumph sedan) has re-introduced me to the pleasures of grease under the fingernails and skinned knuckles. The fire is back, I'm earing a decent income, most of the kids have left home, and I'm dreaming about hot rods again. Don't know what I'll build, but a 60's style T bucket like gary's is on the list,so is an A hiboy woodie as my oldest son in law is a great cabinetmaker and a car nut just like me. I'll get myself a hot rod yet! Oh yeah, there's a pic of grey-headed old me and my shiny red machine on my myspace page if you want to check out the car... http://www.myspace.com/theancientmetaller Cheers, Glen.
