Hello to all, I have been a "gearhead" my entire life it seems. I am interested in all things automotive and have been involved in many diverse areas from restoring an Austin Healy "frog eye" Sprite to racing formula and sports cars. I have, over the last few years , become involved in GM trucks (49-54) and have had a hand in restoring a 51 stepside. My current project is a 49 GMC 1 ton panel delivery. My goal is to retain the original look, but move to "modern" conveniences, driveline and suspension ... etc. Since I am now "retired", I plan to dedicate more effort in completing the project. I look forward to my involvement with this forum.
