Well Here goes. I have been a car guy since my hot wheels collection at 5 years of age. Well not just a car guy but a internal combustion guy. If it has a engine and is mine it is modified. I have a 10.90 80 camaro, a lifted and locked 84 k-10 and a 50 hp 2 stroke 3 wheeler. I am the service manager and a GM dealership and over noon and after work if I go into the parts department with "that look they know I have a new idea on some kinda modification. One of the newest ones is to turbo my truck on propane just to let you know how twisted or goofy.

So why am I here? In high school my grandfather and I restored/modified his 55 1st series GMC 3/4 ton. We inframe rebuilt the motor, had it painted, redid all the brakes and steering, replaced some missing interior and made new boards for the bed on his table saw. We replaced the axles. The front with a 58? 1/2 ton with 50 chevy car drums and the rear has a 70s buick car axle with a posi (8.2 I would guess). Recently he passed away and the truck is still in his shed waiting for someone. It is just a 248 and a 4 speed. I have always wanted to modifiy it to be like it would have been if I had it in the early 60s. Chrome reverse rims, 2 pot intake and split exhaust. I want to lower it and it may get a 9" to make it so the front and rear wheels have the same bolt pattern. It may build a hot 302 gmc at some point but for now the engine will remain stock except maybe cut the head and a cam. The only other thing is a/c. I know thats for pussies but one thing that really kills me is a car that you don't drive. My grandfather had a 46 chevy fleetline that is a super nice restore but my grandparents never drove it because in nebraska the weather is only nice about 2 weeks a year otherwise it is too hot or cold. I want to drive it to work, on cruises, whatever and whenever.

    Sorry it was so long
