Hey CCPanel, I'm restoring a 1950 Chevy Panel. I put the body on a '74 suburban chassis but I think I need to move the body mounts. I don't like how the tires sit in the rear fenders. Can you tell me where the center of your rear axle sits in relation to the rear fenders? Any info you can get me would be appreciated.
mine sit a little to the rear. you can look at my webpage for pics; http://customclassics.org but it kinda sits forward like that too. when mine is lowered it slides back but if it is too far back iniitially when spring compresses and if you lower it a lot-it could run into fender clearance issues. if you want exact measurements give me some sort of reference point you want me to measure from. my rear fenders are cannon fodder so give me a body or frame mount reference point. also-just use the factory dimensions for wheelbase-that will make it look more 'right' 116" mark
