newbie in the garage

Hi all, Just learned of this site from a friend. Looks like I've found what I've been looking for. People who know their stuff. I'm new to this forum and look forward to learning from you guys.I'm almost 50 and feel that I have much to learn here. I'm live the PNW. In the wet**** state. I've owned several old cars over the years. And wish I still had them. But now I have a 48 Pontiac Silver Streak 4 dr sedan. And am looking for ideas. It's in primer and I like it. I also love Photographing street rod's. I'm fixing up my 48 Pontiac so I can pull my 46 Spartan Manor and an ol Tear Drop(if I can find one). But need to up grade motor and brakes. So I need to go through your archives and learn some stuff.You guys know your stuff and I'm here to learn. So hopefully you guys will put up with me. Glen

Thanks guys. When's Centralia and Monroe? Hopefully I'll make the PIR one for at lest one day. I went to the Rat Rod show in down town Tacoma last year pretty sweet. Is there a event calender on this site?
