I have recently purchased a 98 Chevy 1500 WT and it has stock steel 15" 5 lug wheels on it. I am wanting to pretty it up a bit, and have located some 16" wheels off an 02 chevy truck. I am certain from the picture that they are 6 lug wheels.
How or what can I do to make these 6 lug wheels fit my 5 lug truck?
Thanks in advance for your help.

sorry for bothering you guys, if you read the name of the site it does not say anything about cl***ics. It probably would have taken you the same amount of time to give me a straight answer instead of smart-*** posts. Hope you need help some time and I can return the favor.

Its not worth the h***le really.... you can buy adapters to mount them, but they will make the tires stick out at least an extra inch, plus its not that great of an option.... but its just about the only option...

right below the ***le for this section it says "Spreading the gospel of traditional hot rods and customs to hoodlums world wide..."
Don't know how you got here, but if you had spent more than 10 minutes before posting, you might have noticed NO late model truck questions.
So in closing, I'd like to help you out; which way did you come in?

And come back here with traditional hot rod issues.

  18. You're right. We do **** with newbies a bit much sometimes. BUT, this site's about traditional Hot Rods/Kustoms, etc. Cruise around the board for a couple days and you'll get the feel for what's expected here

Easier and cheaper to get 5 bolt wheels than trying to make 6 bolts fit.

The fine print when people register here says pre '65.
Of course,I usually don't read fine print .

You're ****ING kidding right? why didn't you just ask where your car keys are? Why don't you just find some Ford wheels and try to put them on. I know you're a NFG and all,but i'm sure you can read...right? This isn't the Pep Boys Tech site! Go back and read a little about the website you joined, then go down the hall,to the bathroom. Look in the mirror and say "you're such a ****HEAD!". Then read some threads for a few days, and learn a thing or two. After that...get involved with the BEST Hotrod website on the net!!! The HAMB!

Alright everyone, get out the paddles...Freshman lost his phonebook. Seriously, if you would have browsed the tech, cl***ifieds, MESSAGE BOARD, then something should half surely tipped you off that this was the WRONG thing to ask. If you have no idea what to do, adapters would probably be a good place to start. If you want to know where to get them...Google would be a good place to start. If you have anymore questions like that, this isn't the place to start. Hope you find what you're looking for.....CAUSE IT AIN'T HERE!!!! (seriously though, goood luck and via con dios):D:D

"Hi. My name's ****. How do I bolt 6-lug wheels onto a truck with 5-lugs?"

That's right up there with "how do I make my new mirror rusty,to match my old one?" Remember that one,LOL!!! You new guys just kill me,HA HA HA!

A 98 Chevy will be a cl***ic in just a few more years. I would rather have 5 lug wheels. 6 lug wheels belong on a.............. a truck
