    Technically not a traditional hot rods and customs, but the ultimate OPEL:

    OPEL 1914 GP Race car
    760 cui, 4-cylinder, 4-valve with crown&pinion gear. Max rpm 2.900.

    Seen this car many times in my mate's shop who restored it for the museum.

    Your engine thread made me join. Love those Duesenbergs!

    I also worked on the most kick-*** racing car/engine one can imagine:
    1972 Mclaren M8F.

    Find Hakkinen's comments on driving a M8D elsewhere on the web...
    He explained it quite well.

    Alas, this car and the Can-Am series are too new for this forum :)
    Build years of either averaged at 1943 might just qualify?

    I am in Newlands :) Was actually briefly at the last Natter. Next time I aim to bring a Maserati in bare ally
