I have a Sedan Delivery. ***le says it is a 1954. I have been told it is a 1952. The VIN tag is missing. Can any one tell me where I might be able to find the stamping on the frame? I just found out that the 54's used ball joints and the 52 and 53's use king pins so I will have to check that. Can anyone tell me if the frames are the same? Will all of the body and interior parts interchange?
Your best bet is to order the Ford Parts CD from our member Retro Jim send Him a pm for a special members price.This CD has exploded views of all Fords from 1949-59 it shows how to read Vin tags and lists every part & part number for your Ford,it is a MUST HAVE and you will know by part number what will interchange.
'52 & '53 frames are different than the '54. Fenders, doors, bumpers will interchange but grilles are different. Seats & door panels will interchange. Dash is different but it will interchange. It still could be a '54 with a '52 front end on it. If it has ball joints then it is a '54.
