Found my '54 Plymouth 2d after previous owner did a mild amatuer custom. Car is basically stock except for nosed/decked and lowered (old school cut coil and blocks in back). My plan is to keep it basically the same but update brakes and motor with some mods. After seeing Blueskies' motor it made me realize how cool and old flattie can turn out. Would appreciate any input that saves me from making mistakes that are irreversable. Was a teen in the 60's and drove '49, '53, '55, '69 chevys. Then marriage and job took over. Kids are grown and wife says get a car to work on. Ready to go cruisin' again. Belton, MO (I live nearby) has a monster cruise every 4th Sat. April thru Oct. 400 cars and lots of inspiration. Have enjoyed the HAMB and plan to visit often.

"Wife says get a car to work on." Now that's a keeper. Welcome to the HAMB
