Hello all: I am retired several years now and hope to put one or all of my Chevys on the road. I now have more time, but now trying to figure out where the funds are coming from to do what I would like to do to put my Chevys on the road. When it comes to time, although I am retired I just can't seem to find the time I thought I would have during retirement. Don't know how I got it all done when I was working(most weeks 50 to 60 hours). The car needing the least amount of money to put on the road is my 55 Chevy 2dr 210 Delray. Next would be my 48 Chevy Sedan Delivery, and the one needing the most time and money would be my 33 Chevy eagle 5 window coupe. My one grandson would like to have all three---doesn't surprise me. One item I would love to find is an early Hurst shifter like the one I had in my Caddy powered 51 Chevy back in the early 60's. It had a LaSalle 3 speed trans. This early Hurst shifter had a one piece handle ( no screw on knob) with a half knob screwed to each side, sort of looked like a Yo-Yo. Mine was a rose-orange color. Anybody out there with one to sell I would love to buy it. Would just like to have one to hang on my rec room wall. I do have a picture of the one I am looking for. Good Luck to All
Welcome from Texas and just retired myself so I know what you mean.Do like I did give Him one and turn Him loose it's always nice to have a Grandkid in the shop
Welcome to retirement and to the HAMB. Sold my 33 Chevy master 4-door to buy a 48 Chevy panel truck. Like you got more done when working overtime than now. Time just flies when retired.
Welcome! from northern Wi. MY take on Retirement, Lovin it!, Too many projects, + Age = Things happen slowly. John
Hey what if your grandson helps you with your most easily finished project? Maybe later he might gain partial ownship idk just a thought. And if you parted with just one you could get cash to finish one? Or be like me and it goes slooowly but you keep all of em The person with the most (and or coolest)toys at end wins right? Welcome to the party
