Special Note To All My Friends Here At The H.A.M.B...

I'm sorry for not Posting anything for awhile, but since this past February I've been helping a lifelong friend of mine who has multiple-cancers, plus other ailments, and is in Hospice care at this time. Focusing on trying to keep her comfortable, and her spirits up has been my main objective.

Adding to that, our old friend, Bo Huff, is undergoing some severe medical problems again. Bo and I talk about every week, and for a few months he was doing much better, felt better. But, a few weeks back, his situation took another turn for the worse and he had to be hospitalized again.

Most of you remember he's been fighting cancer for about the last 5 years now, and he's undergone chemo-treatment-after-chemo treatment, and many other forms of medical help, plus having to take pills, shots, et al, trying to level-out.

Well, as you may know if you've been close to anyone who's been through long-term chemo treatments, it has a horrible effect on your body. Outside of losing your hair, it weakens your immune system, and, your bone structure. SO, when Bo & I talked about a week-and-a-half ago, he said he had cracked another rib or two, and the bones in his legs were shot too, and he was going back to the hospital.

He did go back last week and they operated on one leg and implanted a steel rod for support, and when I talked to him this past Monday night he said that they were operating on the other leg today (Wednesday, May 6th) to put a rod in that one.

Bo is needing all of our prayers and good wishes right now, and told me to tell all of you that he's going to try to heal as best as he can...as soon as he can. He's a real fighter, and wants to get back on-the-road ! He's got some cool stuff coming out of his shop, and he wants to be at all of the shows he can...as soon as he can.

If any of you have met Bo you know that he's a true, lifelong, hard-core custom guy ! Loves building them, driving them, showing them...AND, more than anything loves meeting everyone at shows all-over-the-country !

So, if you have some time today (or, any day for that matter) please include Bo in your thoughts & prayers. Things are way-past-serious for him right now, and he needs all of our help.

God Bless, and sincere thanks to you all,

    Jonnie www.legends.thewwbc.net

  4. Bo is a great friend, known each other for years. We haven't always agreed on certain custom styles, but that's ok.
Hasn't effected our friendship at all.

C'mon buddy, let's get through this!!

Tell Bo 64 months ago they gave me 22 months to live , went to Mayo Hospital, all the radiation, chemo, stem- cell transplant, Pills, etc. (multiple myeloma )
Since last October, no detectable Cancer Cells.. They think they are on the road to making progress against this horrible crap. I am in a research program with 60, now 59, other people and am living a normal life, except very little energy. take 12 pills a day, One of the pills cost $10,000.00 a.month, take 28 days, stop for 7 days, start 28 day cycle again,
$500.00 a month AFTER $5000.00 annual deductible, (thank God and the Democrats for Medicare, and Social Security ) Tell Bo to get notes from Mayo Clinic..
I am goin' live for ever, SO FAR, SO GOOD !!!!!

    Good Luck BO,
    Sincerely, BOB HUFFMAN

5 years ago he had less than 6 months. Been very impressed by his ability to fight and keep kicking out cars.
    Keep it up Bo!

Talked to Bo last night. He was very drained & tired from having two operations in one week; as I said before, the chemo treatments have caused his bones to deteriorate, and he had to have a steel rod installed in both legs to help him walk in the future.

What really cheered him up though was when I told him about all of the prayers & well-wishes from everyone here at the H.A.M.B. ! SO no matter where you are in our U.S.A., and, around-the-world in Foreign/European Countries, Bo asked me to thank you so much for your support & kind thoughts.

If you've ever been in the hospital, or, recuperating at home, due to an accident or illness, you know how much just a call, or, message from a friend can make you feel better. From my accident a few years back, I can tell you it makes a world of difference to know you're not forgotten.

Bo also said that as soon as he can get back out there, feel better, and, travel, he hopes to see you inperson to thank you. Bo hates to be "sidelined", and I know he'll be fighting to beat this...just as he's done for the last five years ! I'll Post knew Info here when I have it.

    Sincere thanks to each-and-every one,

    JK www.legends.thewwbc.net
