Thats like how Jesse James has sold out. Not only can you buy his WCC shirts a Wal-Mart now but him and Auto-Zone?

Two things about the show...... 1) They cut an unmolested big window cab for that? They could have started with a much less valuable small window cab. I'm no restorer, but ruining a valuable part when a much less valuable part could have been used gets under my skin. 2) OMG, that gal that welded up the exhaust system. She was a hot red head and can TIG weld too...
Seems to me I remember "Scotts Hot Rod Shop" being featured on another car related TV program. I remember an online discusion about his voice and that the show seemed to be one long infomerical. Hot Rod TV perhaps? I've been thinking about this all nite and I can't come up with it exactly. I'll do alittle digging to see if I can refresh my memory but who does this guy know in TV land, or who is he blowing, to get his below-par shop on TV twice within a year or two when there are so many other deserving canidates?
i agree the back was cool. but the front sucked. and then to go to all that trouble and paint it flat black and put those stupid wheels on there doesnt really show the "skills" that the shop posses. i could think of several other shops i would rather pay to built me a car
Hmmmm... it said that these were from the 2/10 episode..... Let me go back to TLC and check it out.... ??? HC
That truck is one ugly sum bitch. I used to have a big back windowed 55 truck, leave the cab alone, they are cool as thay sit. By looking at the finished truck, you would think that they started with a major pile of shit, or partial pieces.
Those pictures weren't on the show last night...but, the motorcycle was in the background of some of the shots last night. It's definitley the same shop, I recognize the blue plastic tarp walls in the shop.
Scott's style reminds me of someone who came from a minitruckin' background & is now building older stuff. I see a lot of that around here (Ohio). The trademark being the mish mash of styles, big billet, & bags. On a lighter note, I'm thrilled there are shows like this on TV. The ol' lady cracks up at me yelling at the show telling them what's killer or what they should be doing ... she says it's guy soaps. WWS
Well I saw some of that show last night How do you put a roadster pickup in the same class of customs as a 32 roadster? cant that fat ass realize he WILL die if he doesn't lose some weight? Is it me or does my dog's house have a better design than that bed. WOW SMOOTH YEAH RIGHT!! I like how Brandon Walsh knows everything abouut RIDES hah! Also they mention that the is a "design as you go shop" I think that shoebox was done by someone not in the show, How does every panel get handmade just to look like a stock shoebox with a cool chop.
It's nice to know I could have my own hot rod shop and get paid mucho dinero for doing my usual hacked up construction. I at least had some sort of a plan when I started cutting up my shit. Sure a lot of stuff is figured out along the way, but to not have a clue from the first cut is kinda scary. Also, I didn't realize I had my own top notch shop with state of the art paint booth. That is, I put the squirrel cage fan in front of the door with a tarp over it while I was primering the spacetruck.
The scooter and chopped shoebox were only in background shots. I agree that the truck wouldn't be the item I would pick to showcase my shops work but I don't find it that offensive,(except the Benz lights perhaps). The construction techiques were a bit crude, but I don't think the finished truck was an abomination. I did find it odd that they took all the pains to have a super detailed chassis and covered it up with a body that was at the oposite end of the spectrum. Show car underneath, "Rat Kustom" on top. Just my opinion.
Didn't anybody see the cool chopped 50 Ford sitting in the shop next to their featured "shop truck" project? Looked like some good work being done on that car.
Yes it is. The Space Truck, Lukester's truck, Radshit's truck, plus a score of others here on the HAMB, all blow this truck away!
The front of it looks like some freaky fish to me. One of those ones you see on National Geographic TV out the window of a mini-sub...
OGNC, now that I look at it, it does look like a mini-sub. True about all that work on the chassis, i has a modern quick change rear! That bed has been done there is a guy in socal with a light blue early fifties chevy pickup with a cool rear light setup and radir you guys have seen that truck
