Thankyou all for the lovely welcome. I'm stoked about the nice comments regarding my art. Haha the battle of to paint the falcon or no continues. Haha. Much like in real life.

I must check out this ladies of the HAMB bit.

Sorry to hear about your lungs :( You'll be happy to hear I've been taught well, I only buy the high quality Gamblin oil paints and I use an odourless mineral spirit that is safe to use without a mask and won't absorb through unbroken skin.

  6. was your Falcon at Garterbelts at Mt Tamborine few weeks ago ??
if not, was another with similar patina - very cool

Yes indeed it was! And it had a bike crammed into the back, depending on when you saw it.

No I didn't unfortunately, I didn't have anything suitable to submit at the time.

I will definitely have some works up at Greazefest though. I enter something every year. The Falcon will be there too with my girlfriend's Falcons.

  10. look forward to seeing your artwork there.
Garterbelts and the Greazefest are both "must do" events on the QLD calendar

  11. Welcome from a little bit south of you across the border.

Nice work on the '49 Buick,...I have a pic of Justin's car as my comp's wallpaper

Justin's Buick was an irresistible subject to paint after having seen it. Mmmm. So lovely.

I know a few Rays but I tend to remember people by faces and cars than names. Does he have a car? The make may ring bells for me.

Yep I'll be going but probably without the Falcon this time. The Fuel pump is about to give up and I don't think I'll have time to rekit it and pop in the fuel sender before then.

Well here is an update, I've getting some wonderful help with my fuel pump so the dirty foulcan will be at Coolangatta on Sunday .Yippee! Always fun cruising down there.

Hey OLDSMAN! Hoping to meet some more lady gearheads too. Sounds like you're breeding 'em right.

Hi Des! Good to see you here too and cheers for that. Justin dug it too which was cool. Hoping to do the James Owen's workshop at the end of the year and get some mad auto painting skills happening.

Oh and a bit of cool trivia for you all, my great grandfather Frederick Morsby was an architect and he designed the Ford Broadmeadows plant, the biggest car plant in the southern hemisphere where all the Aussie early falcons rolled out of. Pretty cool hey.

Hey there, welcome! and hello from Texas! You know, it's great to hear about Falcon news from Australia, we need to see more pics of yours! Nice art, keep the Falcons in there too...

Interest trivia about Grandfather Frederick Morsby, wow.

My old '63 Falcon Sprint (it was also born in CA..) was sold from Texas to South Moe, Victoria, Australia...so maybe you might see it one day...

Don't you worry, I will keep the falcon art and pics coming. I really need to paint my own car one day too!

Yeah Andrew, Aussie's go nuts for 2 door falcons and hardtops cause we just didn't get them here until 64 I think? I still can't get over all the dudes circling my car at car shows (and then they find out I'm a girl p plater and just about die!!! Hahaha)

Hey Danny, No that girl isn't me she is India Rose, a model over here who was lovely to take the time to pose for me :) I haven't been game to paint myself yet but who knows I might do a self portrait one day.

  23. drea that is awesome info i really had no idea broady ford plant was the biggest in our hemisphere, used to drive past it all the time and think fuck i cant imagine all those falcons coming outta there, it dont seem that big ha ha, there u go
