well, I'm glad i found this board. its full of knowledge and wisdom, two things i lack. i used to have a 1929 RPU, 63 283 with fulie heads, Muncie 4spd, 56 Chevy rear, suicide axle, 32 dash, etc. sold it for way too cheap, and have been kicking myself ever since. but the girlfriend at the time hated it. so in retrospect, shoulda kept the car and got rid of the girl a lot sooner. now I'm back into it, having almost completed my Duster project, getting a decent, hot rod loving girl (she likes the smell of race gas and the sound of a big cammed, high compression nailhead through weed burners) and picking up one of my dream cars, a 1930-31 Model A closed cab pickup. now all i need is the 8-71 and 392.... anyway, Ive been building muscle cars and late model stuff for a couple of years now for my own business, but sadly have not ever scratch built a frame, hairpins, or roof filler. pathetic, isn't it? never split wishbones, converted to open drive, chopped or channeled anything (unless you count body dropping mini trucks), etc. i don't feel like a real man without having done it. my goal is to use all discarded parts from other peoples projects, and fabricate what i cant find. Ive always dreamed of doing it full on, bare bones, scary fast, and daily drivable. so now I'm gonna. and, if it matters, since this is an introduction, the shop music is typically stuff like the hoodoo gurus, quadrajets, social distortion, flogging Molly, etc. I'm 25, and my real job hates my piercings (child abuse investigator). so, thanks for letting me join up and suck your skulls for all the wisdom and knowledge i can.
