Any updates on this car, the restoration and quest for info, or its history up to today?

  3. Talking about "CLONES".There was a replica of the "outlaw" at the Detroit Autorama in the Ed Roth exibit. It was so good, even Darryl Roth thought it was the original. The "Mysterion" replica, that was reproduced was there also, and it was incredible!Sometimes a reproduction is as close as we will ever get to the original car.Especially if the original didn't survive.Call it a tribute to a genius of our hobby, but be respectful to the ones who try to preserve history.George Barris built a reproduction of the Munster Coach, but do you think kids care if it's the REAL one,no!They just can't believe they are seeing the car. Some of those restorations take years of research and trying to find parts etc..Yea,and don't forget the money!Maybe you critics are just jelous that you didn't find it.Appreciate our hobby/lifestyle,don't tear it down.
LB,i'm with you. Some guys aren't worth the effort it takes to share a rare find.Just ignore them.

Whoever you are, you're my fucking hero.

And whatever this roadster consists of, it's fucking awesome. The engineering is incredibly significant.

I missed this the first time around.

Hard to believe a project like this is off the map again.

Just tune in to Days Of Our lives and imagine car related remarks instead of who's sleeping with who.

Don Borth did the metal work on the 500 roadster of Don Waite. He did allot of early Indy cars and roadsters. Supposedly he did allot of work on the Mardon Ohly Bentley 29 roadster. He was incredible, so they say. He is no longer with us. It was reported that he whipped out the alum tonneau in a few hours. He was a master craftsman.
