The OP jkflathead may have been asking if they would work in a stock 59AB, assuming that he's using stock cast iron heads. In that case, Ziggster's application on his C59A the reach seems to be correct for iron heads. I picked up a 3212 NGK and it fits my 59AB heads perfect, with no threads exposed. I would think aftermarket alum heads would have/need a longer reach?

"Many, "All"; we're splitting hairs here. Offenhauser's, Edelbrock's, and Edmunds make up about 90% of flathead heads that are out there. If you are comfortable recommending plugs that don't fit properly in most cases, I guess you can, but I personally try to keep misinformation to an absolute minimum. I just hope the guy that installs a set of B6L's in his new set of Edelbrock's checks them out first.

When assembling my C59A, I used putty to check piston to head clearance on cyl #1 at TDC. Also, noted the clearance to the plug and exh valve. Heads were stk cast iron, gasket was Felpro (0.055”), and plugs were NGK 3212. Clearance was about 0.128”.

What kind of "putty"? I have been using foil balls, but I like your results better.

It might have been plasticine. Think I got it at “Michaels”, a craft store chain here in Canada.

RockAuto is your friend for NGK plugs. Since it won't be model/year specific, you can just put in the part number in the search bar.

New Edelbrocks use 3/4" plugs. I've been experimenting with "modern" tipped plugs and, so far, the results have been outstanding.
