Here are a few of the OR#1 tribute car along with the newest Old Reliable. The Camaro is owned by Dave's son Mike and was originally purchased by Dave. It was lettered by the same fellow who did the original Old Reliables. Both cars looked great!!
Yes, the headers are not Stahl's, they are Hookers, I purchased 2 new sets of Stahl's , while at York, I'll get them on some day. Had a great time there. And yes the car was going thru Indy Monday, I live in Illinois
Everyone had a great time racing at Beaver Springs this weekend. Got to see some old racers and had a great time running the 57 and had my son running the 55 wagon. We're starting to see more Juniorstockers on the track, hoping to see more next year! Thanks Barry for bringing the Sedan Delivery from Illinois. Butch
Barry(goodwrench 57) ,was it on the cool truck in the Avatar picture????????? That is a beautiful truck

junior stock, you are not in trouble, and yes this one of the trucks for sale, along with the '58 348. Thank you. The delivery 1480, loading up pretty bad, too high.
http://www.fastlanecars.com/Public/Vehicle_Detail.aspx A link to Fast Lane cars in case any one is interested in a vintage car hauler. Search through the inventory for the 58 hauler with the 348 engine.
The Valiant belongs to Ronnie Evans. Looks like the York staging lanes with me standing on the drivers side of Alan McMaster's '57.
Don't know why I thought any one would notice especially someone I thought was my friend. Now lets see, where can I find a 42 year old picture of you?
Not Billy I's car but very similar paint. Any one know the owner? For Barry, where did you take the picture in your posts? I know there is a restored station somewhere near Litchfield on old 66 and there's a great looking Texaco station in Dwight, also on old 66.
This is one of the pics I asked about - in pits at Indy after top was stolen off of Kens vette! Look close at the pic and you can see the top is missing from the vette. Just the door window cranked up and NO TOP!!
Islanderworker, The shot of my hauler and delivery was shot in Waverly, Il, at the end of highway 111. It is the office/ playroom of a storage unit complex that a friend of mine ownes.
Hey goodwrench 1957, do you still have your white 150 270hp? If so please post pics if you do not mind. Tom 57 150
Tom, I still have the '57 150 270 hp. I'm lucky to turn on this thing, I'll see if my daughter can help me some time, sorry.
Goodwrench, while she's at it please ask her to post your York shots; I'm sure you got some good ones!!
I just found out about this forum and I love it. It brings back memories of my drag racing back in the 60s. I was a member of the Chevair racing team from 1962-1965. I recognize a lot of the names and cars from that time.
When I was growing up in Akron, Oh back in 70 - 71 a friend of mine had a brother that ran a 70, 440 Cuda on a cercuit called "The Great Lakes Jr Pro Stocks". Does anyone else in the Oh, Mi, In, or Pa area remember them?
Well guy my mind has taken a detour. Please don't laugh.. 1972 Summer Nationals my Chevelle was broke and I was offered a 55 sedan delivery 265, single 4bbl with a 3 speed, it was dark burgundy almost maroon. I don't remember any lettering, My problem is I can't remember who owned the car......I only had the car for 2 weeks but I was curious to know what happen to it and if it survived...Anyone ????? ps, I used my entry so that car isn't on the entry list....
Goodwrench 1957, that is what I am talking about, 57 150 270 hp Jr. Stocker! Fantastic car! Thanks for posting pics.
