  2. On the decklid of the Olds, you can make out the Connecticut Modifiers Car Club signage.
    Joe Santangelo and I were also members of the club with John.

  3. Chuck , That would be Suffolk Raceway in Virginia, in about 1971. I don't know how and where he got that number back then, but that is an actual Jr Stock car. The wagon came right after it , I believe.
    Peter went to S/S with a 69 Nova, in about 74. Maybe a Camaro too, but he never went back to modern Stock, before retiring from racing.

    Stahl headers were on most Junior Stockers back in the 60's because they worked better then any other set of headers.
    Just my opinion.

    Where is / was the Balboa track located? This sure looks like Marvin Walker's Hudson Hornet from Newberg, Oregon that was campaigned in the early to mid-60's.

    Balboa was an eigth mile strip in Eugene, Oregon.

    Just my opinion but I could never own a car with lettering that looked like the lettering on "Tension"
    That makes me dizzy just looking at it!!

  28. I suspect that it was done this way partly in the hopes of distracting the driver in the other lane. :confused: ;)
