Here's where we'd like more info! Times, speed, reaction times, who won? All that and more. Beautiful photos. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
Wayne's car is built more to the spirit of a true Jr. Stocker and ours is more of a bracket car in disguise, so it's not fair to compare numbers.....although Wayne did comment, "to the barn, I want a head pulled off of that thing". These two guys are class acts and just plain good people and really represent what those days were all about. They made a big deal of them pairing off and it was a real treat to watch. To their memory, it was the first time they met on the race track.
I think this has been posted on here before. But some were asking about it on the Tokyo Rose thread. The Ronca Brothers
Special treat it's Golden Commandos Record Holding "Goldfish" day. In it's time it broke both speed and ET records.

The original TENSION was wrecked and repaired. Soon after the 1969 Nationals the car was sold and Don got into motor cross racing. About 12 years ago Tony Beam of Denison Ia found an Old 57 chevy sitting in a farmers field, n the process if restoring the car he met the owners of the team car INBOMBER. They told Tony about the history of TENSION. The project was changed from custom car back to its former glory. The car was finished and in 2015 Don got behind the wheel of TENSION and made its first drag strip pass in over 40 years. To get more history on the restoration and the men who rebuilt the car. Check out my Facebook group Cornhusker Raceway Park. This was the hometown track for all three team cars.
Last photo is the original TENSION 57 chevy. Restored by Tony Beam of Denison Ia. For more info on the car and it's rebirth check Out my Facebook group Cornhusker Raceway Park. Team TENSION home town track.
I have never heard of Rock Fall Connecticut and after checking Google Maps they do not list any town in Connecticut names Rock Fall. I have no idea why that is on the side of the car. Jimbo
^^^If it's anything like Ohio, sometimes unincorporated communitys, or smaller hamlets don't show up on any maps. It's a local thing....
