Well, unfortunately, the place is NOT open this weekend as advertised. Seems one set of relatives that put out the ad don't actually own the property, while the other set that do own the land do not want anything sold. I don't know if they plan to crush it all or to spare the old cars, but either way the poor guy guarding the gate this morning had to deal with a lot of pissed off folks who drove hours to get here, only to be turned away. There were apparently a few death threats and the Sheriff's office was called in as well. Very nasty.

we drove by there on the way to something else today, there's a big sign in the drive that says "CLOSED - NO TRESPASSING" I hope everyone got out what they paid for.

 

When I called a week ago, they said that they were going to be closed. They would post an ad on craigslist when they were going to be open again.

 

I saw that on Saturday, too.

I heard that too, but no ad on Craigslist has ever surfaced. Randy has no computer, but his wife does some computer stuff (from work, maybe?).

They had David Wolk (mentioned earlier in this post) post it for them.

So who knows what the deal is?

Hey has anyone heard anymore on this junkyard, I have heard that alot people didnt ever get there stuff out they paid for and still havent got there money back. I for one, never got my money back and still cant get and answer out of rand or kim as to when i get mey car or money back, anyone else having this problem.

 

I heard that the whole thing is up in the air. Word is that the old man who ran it til he died used to grumble "Let 'em fight over it."

Apparently, the leftover kin are. Part got the land, Rand got the cars. The folks with the land were going to crush 'am all and clear the land to sell to developers until they found out the cars were worth something. Now it's all in court, for God knows how long.

Granted, some of this may be inaccurate, but like I said, it's the "word on the street".

Not really sure what's going on.
