  1. I don't know why, but I have never been a fan of automotive nicknames. I think some are dumb and I avoid the rest. I have never called a GTO a Goat, never said "Vette", never called an engine a mill. Same with Dizzy and carby. Blower is a nickname I suppose but I never say "huffer". Interior, yes. no to gut. I guess that I'm an old grouch

I'm betting Vicodin. I run about 50/50 odds of getting a thread deleted when I'm on pain meds. Including one on this very subject that ruffled someone's panties.

Yep… we’ve talked about these words and many more before…First and foremost this is the USA. We are from many but speak our own English. You come here because you WANT TO BE HERE. Please leave your “English” and adapt to what’s used here.
I’m waiting for the day when I hear……Dodgers 6-Yankees nil..

How about when someone advertises a car for sale, then the ad states the cool wheels in the pictures don't go with it.
I've got a nickname for that.

"posi" is the one that really annoys me. Many people refer to any limited slip, locker, made by any manufacturer, or even welded spider gears as a "posi"

Reminds me of that the 70s show episode when Red buys that muffler store and Kitty keeps going on about muffs.

Well Billy, just point me toward the person who ruffled your panties, and I'll swat them with my man bag.

You never learned punctuation, did you? It's "With the left hand, limp wrist".

But I have a firm left wrist.
See, I learned to switch hands when younger.

I’d guess you stuck with dominant side?

    Talking about painting strokes here….

Switching hands is useful, especially in areas when trying to tighten and loosen nuts and bolts. Talking automotive right?

  29. What about “Dizzy”. It took me a while to figure out they are referring to a distributor. I hate that term.
