I bought a Nicson marine timing chain cover front motor mount used in boats sold as a small block chevy. I got it today , It's not for a chevy small block or big block or my 409. It has a casting number does anybody know what a 300-06 fits. Maybe someone has a old catalog? Is there a part number for a small block chevy ?

Possibly early Cadillac? I was building a model of a blown Cadillac engine for a g***er '33 Willys like the early version of Ohio George's Cadillac powered coupe so I looked up a moon timing cover

Lot of choices for marine stuff from Nicholson.
My guess is Oldsmobile if it's from the 70's or early 80's.
Lot of jet boats ran them.
    Followed by 460 Ford.

@37gas If you click on the BBC link I posted, it's NOT a boat mount, just a FI front cover. Look at the listings and you should find a similar one to yours. The numbering system seems to be just in order of when they were made, not to ID the brands they fit.

    300-11 is BBC mount

Here is a forum showing 1982 catalog pages (no 300- prefixes) and a SBC mount as 300-17

Here's an FE Ford one 300-5

    Here's a 300-2 unknown application

There have been a couple threads here on the brand.

I know you just want the answer to your question, not all this other stuff. I wasn't able to find that, sorry.
