I realized I have asked a few questions about nitromethane before, but this time the amount isn't above 90%. I tore apart my motor today and found out it is the High Nickel High Tin block. It also has brand new aluminum rods, splayed caps, and all of those goodies. I am interested in running nitromethane, but being as I have a decent set-up already, I'm not looking to build a new set up. This time, I am looking at running around 15%. From my studying I know that I am not going to see much of a gain at all, but I'm mostly interested in a good flame show and some smell. I have no definite question here, but more of just looking to hear some stories and advice from people who have done this before. The motor is a 331, 4.030 bore and 3.25 stroke. The heads have a 2.05 intake and 1.6 exhaust and the intake flows 300 @ 28". The cam is 276/286 ( @ .050) on a 106 and has a lobe lift in the range of .420, with a rocker ratio of 1.5. My injection is at Enderle being flowed. I spoke with a guy there and according to him my pump is too small for 25%. Being as I am rebuilding this combination, I can choose whichever compression I want, I do not know the current compression. An educated guess would be in the 11.0-12.0 range. If any of you would care to share any information or anything of the sort I would appreciate it. Thank you for your time. Randy

You are not going to get much if any flame or the cackle sound at that low percentage. You need at least 75% or more to see flame. You do get power at even very low percentages. Go with a D shape dish no more than 9-1.
