My driveshaft shop closed. Anyone have a source for good custom shafts in NJ? I need a full custom piece, not just a shorten.

The Dana/****er shop in on 130 closed. They did great work.

rebuilt parts co. in Pennsauken ( south jersey) is probably the BEST in the state ( MANY drag-race guys use them) ...prices are usually RIGHT too.....

Damn it! They just made a driveshaft for me this past winter. Real nice work at a good price.

I can't vouch for the other places, but Universal Joint can eat my ***. Them ****ers charged me 110 bucks to shorten a driveshaft, then cut too much off and it didn't fit. Not to mention the excessive weld on the end caused such a balance problem there were like 6 counter weights to balance it. Just because the work ****ed so bad and the driveshaft was worthless to me anyway being too short, I brought it to my machine shop and put a dial indicator on the very end of it where it was cut....035" run out. That's piss poor.

Universal Joint IS good for getting universal joints, and conversion joints. They had a Chrysler-1310 Ford joint in stock and installed it all for $40

  12. What are you kidding me! Right under your ****ing nose, put the bottle down repo! Matt, in the airplane hanger, right across from your garage. He's the best, doesn't even need to balance that ****. Good luck! Hope to see you soon!

  13. I had a bad experience with drive-line services on 46.. Might have just been one bad deal out of many good ones but he did a bad job on my buddies 32 and charged alot (i remember it being way over 200). the welds were sloppy as hell and on this car it actually mattered..

universal joint in rutherford on rt17 did a great job on mine... came out perfect and was very reasonable at 110 with all new HD ujoints. i broke a cap off the rear end side u-joint when i was installing and they guy gave me a free one and a new set of cap straps for free... my inlaws have also been using him for years for their tow trucks and have always had good experiences. I'd highly recommend him...

?! WTF? I have machine shop across the road?

This is a wake up call. I'm not spending enough time at the garage. Planned on being there all weekend, but I have to go back to Italy. I need to do something about my job. This is out of hand.

That's it -I'm hiring Slim away from you. I need to replace myself.

  15. Dude, go see Matt. No one can touch him, he's a genius. I have his # for you!
