I went to National Trail Raceway for the National Mustang Racing ***oc race yesterday. There was a Y block gathering there and I took a few pics to share.

This car is nice and I hate to nick-pick but in my opinion it sure needs a new set of wheels. HRP

Thanks for the Pix! The wheels are different and look like they are a good fit unlike those oversize DONK specials like Foose would put on an older car.The more I looked at them they grew on me.

Thanks for the pictures of one of the best Y block events there is. We can all read the results of the racing in the Y Block Magazine soon.

That black '56 ford is killing me. So cool. I'm not sure if I wanna go 6x2 or a supercharger when I do a hotter Y-block. Though to beat the wow factor that a big polished paxton-mcculloch brings, especially under the hood of a custom

Yeah, for sure! I was thinking the same thing . . . Car's a beauty, those wheels just don't look right on it though... But to each his/her own, eh? BTW, great pics, thanks for posting for all to see

That car belongs to a friend of mine. The wheels are from a Ford Explorer. That 57 behind the ramp truck belongs to John F from near Indy, and pulls the wheels at the line, running a supercharged (factory) 312. Seems to me that it runs mid 11s. Most of these guys are on the Y blocks forever site. Some very talented guys there.

John you are correct the wheels on my car are 2000 ford explorer and yes the car was running in the 16's down in Columbus. I have broken into the 15's when the car hooks up and it is a cool day! It was 103 deg F in Columbus and the car spun the tires in first and second gear, need a set of slicks for next year!!! LOL
