Ok I just had a great dealing with coker...seems they shipped the wrong tires. I got one today from fedex. it was supposed to be 2 560/15's I ended up with 1 525/16??? ....So I called and asked if they could correct the order and get them shipped today. They told me if I wanted to pay for the corrected tires NOW they would ship them today but I wouldnt get a credit back until the incorrect order was returned? I never recieved the order. i refused it from fedex...The guy was no help and even told me next time I order tires I should order them with a extra week to spare incase there a screw up??? Pissed off I told them to cancel the order and Id be sure to pass this great customer service onto my friends.

So who else can I get these tires from. blackwall 560/15's

ok coker calls me back and still wont do anything to help.....I finally get the joker to get his supervisor on the phone and after "talking to him like an adult" they have bent the unbendable rule and shipped out my order...

Alot of people have had bad dealing with coker tires. Diamondback Classics are what I am going to use for my front tires. I'm using cheater slick whitewall's from socal on the back. I haven't heard any complaint's about the diamondbacks though...

I hate hearing stories like this, it always reminds me of the line from that movie...

I have diamond backs. The guys are great to work with (I even chose the type of tire (manufacture and style) that they put the white wall on. I have about 8,000 on them and they are running good.

    Mike,

Order from Universal Vintage Tire in Hershey, PA.

I've had trouble getting their website to work properly, but I've shopped locally at their warehouse. The guys even let me waste about 30 minutes propping up different size tires to get exactly what I wanted. Hell, I even changed my mind overnight and DROVE BACK the next day to exchange the fronts for a different size. Crazy me.

  17. I ordered my tires from Coker at the Z-hills swap. They said it would take 10 to 14 days. I got them in about 6 days and there was no shipping costs. And neither Tim nor Sinner was there. Well Sinner never goes anywhere any more. [IMG]

As long as we are talking tires... I have Broadway bias ww's that were given to me... they are wearing really well and ride just fine... but how come no one on here ever mentions them? Are they still around? What's the story on them?

I think its fitting that the BROAD should be driving on BROADWAYS! [IMG]

Bought 5 L78's at Paso but they didn't have 'em on board, so they shipped free of charge to Las Vegas where i was headed & i picked them up from Fedex with no problems.
The guy i dealt with was Hector Moreno & he was first class & even called me on my cell phone with the tracking #'s.
They worked out exactly half the price i would pay here in the UK.

I'm with Haring, I live @ 45 min from Universal, and passed by there today on my way to Posies. Its a shame my dad flew up from FL he'd probably brim 'em down for ya when he leaves tommorow(he lives in Punta Gorda). If you didnt already find them Universal sells Firestone blackwall 560/15's for $90 a pop

I bought tires from Diamond Back and they were super to deal with. One caution, however, they have two sales offices, one in California and one in N. Carolina. Order from the one closest to where the tires will be shipped and you'll save quite a bit on shipping charges. They don't automatically figure shipping from the place closest to you.

It looks to me like the product line is the same at Universal as Coker. I thought Coker made their own tires. Even the prices at both are very similar. Is there a third party somewhere? [IMG]

I have coker radial ww's on my '54... for the past few years. Up until recently I only drove the car once in a while, not daily. Over time each one of my tires has an air bubble in the white wall at the bead of the wheel. I asked the guy in Paso and he said it's because they were low in air and I drove the car??? How bad is the tire when/if it was low that you'll start getting air bubbles in your sidewall. Even worse, to get them replaced (under warranty) I would have to buy a new set, ship the old ones back-$$$, get credited the $ back, and then go pay to have 'em mounted & balanced...*****s**** and not happy about it! Anyone have this problem?

I have broadways also. I have had them for about 4 years. They are hanging in really well.
