Sinister - this is a cool build man. I have a question though. I'm doing something similar and I liked the way you cut the sub frame of the body to channel it 2.5 inches - the only thing I wondering about is this: I'm a big guy and I'm thinking of doing the same thing, but I want to tuck the new frame into the channel that you cut away so it's as close to the outside of the body as posible so I can put a drop down floor in my car so I can get my size 14 shoes in there. I'm planning a 90 degree hanging brake pedal too to give me a little more foot room - do you see any problem getting the frame outboard from where yours is by a couple of inches? I know this means I'll need to recess the frame up into the angled part of the floor support at the front but I think that's do-able. I'm also thinking about z-ing the front section of the frame in this same area of the floor instead of pie cutting it and I'm wondering how low you can get the rear of the car with the amount you z'd it. Your T is going to be wild - just hoping you might be able to give me a little advice. .

Ragtop....my frame tucks right up into the inner edge of the subrails...not much room left to have a wider floor, due to the door jam.... You could modify the lower inners of the doors or just drop down your seating and/or have a drop down "well" for you feet and pedal...

BTW....I'm 6'3 with size 15's.....the biggest issue will probably be my throttle foot on the trans hump....but needed the hump to clear shift linkage...

Neat! I just finished cutting out most of the inner part of that "subrail"so I can keep my frame all the way out as well.

Just putting it out there really.....
The REALITY is it will take a LOOOONNNNNGGGGG time to finish this car how I'd like ($$$$) and my other car also need$$$ alot.....I'm tired of looking at undrivabloe projects INFESTING my garage.....so if I'm to ever have a cool ride soon, this is the 1st to leave......unless the lottery ever pulls my #....haha....
It sucks....'cause this thing is only a few thou away from being a driver....

    And a $750 '32 roadster wouldn't interest me.... ;)

Besides......this thing probably ain't going anywhere.....so just calm down.....

Very tempting. I wonder how much of a nightmare titling this car in California would be.

Not sure how I am following this thread and also saw the car for sale on Craigslist and didn't put two and two together. Awesome car, I hope you finish it or get another HAMBer to get it done!

  19. I hope that you either, get every penny you are looking for out of this ride, or find a way to finish it up!

Either way, I'm pulling for you!!!

It's looking great so far, and keep us posted either way!

    Ok...Ok.....
While one Hamber fucked me on some parts, another hooked me up on some....so the T is back "on".....
Should have the frame "done" this week then it'll be time to lather it in shiny metalflake silver with blue fogging......provided the shitty ass weather cooperates.....

Sorry to hear that a few things didn't work out so well for you.

I did, however, want you to know that your build thread has helped not only me, but I'm sure a lot of other guys out.

I'm looking forward to seeing future posts. Best of luck to you, buddy, you're doing an awesome job.
