Thanks @Corn Fed for bidding... and a special thanks to @corncobcoupe for lifting the reserve for the cause.
No idea if it's enough to jump start us, but super appreciated.

I have a really cool banger powered a-roadster coming very soon. Maybe Monday? And this one has a crazy low reserve.

I'm gonna put my head down and start hunting for more.

Chris is going to drive it home next weekend and maybe just a enjoyable uneventful 45 mile ride back home.

IF, his wife doesn’t hurt him first :D

No idea what it went for (not asking) but when I clicked on Ryan’s link I was wondering (at the price it was at) how can I get it here?
I sure hope this gets the site rolling for Ryan.

Open the ad back up and scroll down to the Bid History.
Click on it and that will show what the bids were.

I think Corn Fed bought my truck to haul around his very Bitchin' 32 5 Window Survivor Hot Rod.
Gotta' find a period ERA trailer now Chris.
    Just color me yellow....

  18. I'm not one to ask people what they paid for something, not any of my business, if they volunteer that's fine.
That being said on a public auction though, the sold price being disclosed is a good tool for basing price on like item with like item.
Can help with those posts "What's it worth?" that continue to pop up.
I see that you can see bidding history, but not the actual sold price (unless I'm missing something), aware that you can assume $100 more than the last bid, but we know what happens when you assume something.
When I'm considering a price of a vehicle, I always refer to E-Bay's "sold listings", which cuts thru the BS price listings that may never actually sell, or at least not at the exaggerated listing prices.
Maybe a category for "sold listings", in the future?
I'm rooting for much success for this new site.

I think this is gonna be a lot better than the “cars for sale” ads. I’ve tried to sell a few cars here, and had a hard time getting anyone to make me an offer. In the auction format, every bid is a guy making an offer. Problem solved!

    Glad she approved.

Thanks Chris and Jeff…. Good to see you fellas.

Jeff, I looked up a Y Block alternator bracket for my 57 - Speedway has them. I’d buy it and get a alternator / and do some swapping for some help for my OEM unit you wanted if your interested.
