Your '68 Impala is a few years too new for the vehicles the HAMB caters to. You will probably receive few or no responses to this post. Read the site's guidelines for posting here and learn what the HAMB really is about.
You just posted in the wrong section. It can be moved to the off topic section @Moriarity This section of the forum is for 1965 and older build styles. Welcome to the Hamb.
Hey Noah, now that your thread has moved to the off topic area I’d really like to see photos of your car!
My neighbor had a 1968 SS Impala with a Big Block, not sure if it was factory original Big Block but it sure was nice and fast for a per teenager like me back in the 1960's. Pictures Please... Dustin (1Nimrod)
Thank you All Very much, It is just a few weeks out of the Paint Booth. It has not been buffed out yet letting it natural cure is a Base Coat & Clear still alot to get back on it.My Cousin Jerry Wesley painted it for me in ScienceHill Kentucky. The pictures were taken at his shop then in Downtown Somerset Kentucky at Somernites Cruise [every 4th weekend April>>>October ] in Somerset Kentucky
Again I'm asking has anyone ever seen or have info on a year or model # of the Tachometer pictured is Only Marked as a Medallion seems to have a Shift light at the top thats missing a lens. is a 5 wire Hook-Up of Red-Black-Green-White-Blue on another Forum was told they were called Ribbon Tachometers & shown a similar Tachometer that was made by Carat but it had no shift light & it was in a black housing. Contacted Medallion & they didn't have any info the Sales & Engineering Departments had never seen or heard or had any info on any of such Tachometer.
Cool car, Noah. The color looks close to the previous year's Granada gold, not available in '68. When I was a teen, I had to pass on an engineless '68 SS Impala for almost free. Parents wouldn't let me drag anything else home. They just didn't understand!
That is a Custom Coupe. Also offered in a Caprice or SS configuration. I had 2 of the Impala version.
Fantastic looking car ! Love the colour , had a gold on gold 69 Lincoln years ago , redid it black on black . A part of me always wanted to restore the car gold on gold . Such a loud and ostentatious colour, yet classy and subdued at the same time !
