    :)

Almost 100 degrees here ... and humid ... so I have been staying in the house and the A/C a LOT ... :( But over the past week or so ... at night I work a little along ...

It's a little too street rod for some ...
    That's OK too ...
The wife and I like it ... :D

Engine and 700R4 installed . Firewall painted and finished. Brake pedal back from Advance Plating and the coil springs back from the power coaters. Driveshaft in ... now to hang the lines ( trans, fuel and brake ) ... already bent and ready to re-install ...

Painting the fuel tank now ... hope to put the 3W body on in a few days ... I sure wish it would cool down to 90 ...

Workede at the FD yesterfay, went to M*** and then cleaned house today. Hard core hot rodder here:D

Deuce, that car is going to be awesome. What's wrong with having a car that is reliable, powerful and comfortable? It's cool in my book.

I got fed up with it being so hot in the garage at home, so I cut a hole in the wall to install a 14,000BTU cooler.

I spent this morning extending the cab of the '34 and t******* the firewall to fit over the trans. It was hotter in the garage than outside so I pushed it out to do most of the welding. Needless to say, I now look like a freekin' lobster...
I still need to extend the roof and hammer weld all the seams. They're just tacked together for now. I've been putting this off for weeks, but it turned out to be easier than I thought, so far. I think it's lookin pretty tuff!
    Here's a few mock-up pics...

I worked on the trike for my grandson and it is now all painted and put together. Still need to ***emble the steering and attach the fenders and chain. Then I can call him to get the kids to bring him out so I can get photos before it gets loaded up to go to his house. Gumpa

  16. I did honey doos all weekend long. Except for the hour and a half I spent in front of a friend's blast cabnet taking no stick primer off an old Ford wheel.

  17. It was about 90-100 here all weekend. But I still welded up a new rear cross member for the '54, and tore into the body rott that has eaten away the trunk floor/ rear inner fenders/ tail pan. No pics right now, but I'll get some up soon. Weekends are my only time to get some serious work done, so I can't let the temp. stop me.

I literally should not have stepped foot in the garge this weekend.

Cause now I've got a car that doesn't run and did. Several bolts that I now have to ez-out of the block which is still in the car. And the car is supposed to be somewhere tomorrow afternoon. That remains to be seen if that will happen. Just one of those weekends. I should have gotten drunk and ran my head through a brick wall would have been less painful.

busted out the steering on the willys on saturday, installed the column and ran the u-joints and steering shafts down to the R/P. . . today i sweat my *** off for about 6 hours and got a little more of the floor/firewall replaced after choppin it out to make room for the 455 buick and T400. i was gettin pretty dehydrated i guess cause mama fiddy made me quit when she got home. said i was stagering and stammering/slurring my words and was giggling, so she asked how much beer i slurped down... i reminded her im outta beer so she said "you've had enough heat for one day. time to go in"

Dis-***embled the rear in my Merc for the SECOND time in 2 weeks to see why the NEW axle bearings and seals are leaking:mad: . Totally DESTROYED the bearings while removing them:D .Got new bearings and discovered that they have 2 seals,an inner and an outer:eek: .The other bearings had only one seal:confused: .So,with any luck,I have cured the leaking axles:) .

Spent all week at the new Miller Motorsports Park raceway, in Salt Lake City. 100 degree temps all week, must have drank 5 gallons of water every day. All this blood sweat and tears taking care of a customers $135k Porsche racecar, only to witness him spin out and get hit, head-on:eek: on the 2nd lap.
...oh well, got paid regaurdless, now I have the cash to get the Rocket Olds on the road!!

Nimrod, is that a '67? I used to have one identical to it (well duh, it's stock) a few years back. Great car.
