I'm just a guy who's read too many hot rod magazines and now I want to try to build one myself. I've wanted a T-bucket ever since high school (now I'm 40!).

Plans are to slap a two seater t-bucket body on the back of a late 50's or early 60's style front engine dragster frame as cheaply as safely possible (two seats are more fun because I'll get to take someone with me). I like the long header look of one of Tommy Ivo's early FEDs and I like the early roll bars that follows the angle of the headers.

There's probably not going to be much leg room. Currently, all I have is a 9" ford rear end and a 400M ford engine and ****** that needs a head. It's not my favorite pick but it's free. I may go with a caddy 500, I dunno. A flat head Ford wold be great but is out of my reach, $$$ wise.

I don't know if all this is possible until I get all the parts together and mock them up. I'll need lots of advice and help from the incredible pool of talent and experience I've found on this forum.

I'm looking forward to the build, but especially to the day I finally get to drive it! I'll take it to the track once or twice just to see what it'll do, but it's destiny is to be street driven.
