Ya you heard me. Purchased some Polara tri-bar hubcaps at the KKOA last weekend. Mounted them and they fit great, snug but not too snug and real tight against the wheel..... Every cap has a rattle similar to a loose wheel bearing. Has to be the metal tabs flexing and rubbing on the wheel. Will they wear in or would some light lubrication of some sort help? Am I doomed to have noissy hubcaps forever?

If it is the retaining tabs moving, a little rtv/silicon applied to the wheel in these areas will help. Using a clear silicon such as from a hardware/bathroom section is cheap and nearly invisible if some gets outside the caps.
Also helps retain slightly loose fitting caps.
