I LOVE THIS THREAD!!! Here's our Nomad High compression 327 with a 4 speed. Looking to drive it to the round-up next year. Its running and stopping just need to get tires and new exhaust on it. Been in the family since 1968 and been off the road since '89.
Here is my first Nomad in 1976. My second Nomad, this one came from Los Angeles. I completely redid the car and changed the color from brown on the bottom with a tan roof to the midnite blue in the pick. It stayed in our family quite a few years as my brother bought it off me when I was done with it. He racked up quite a few miles and it had 93,000 on the first build when I repainted it baby blue with a white roof and rebuilt the drivetrain again. I also had a black 56 Nomad, but don't have a pic handy to post.
i sure wish i could get my wife to start "liking the look" of nomads... i have a friend that has a 57, totally stock, redone about 20 years ago, that he'll sell me for $20,000
Hey, I have a '57 Nomad that is just starting to show signs of rust in the roof. How do I stop this from rusting again after I have it fixed? What caused this and how do I correct it? Caused by three layers of unprotected metal togeather, a Real shit Sandwich situation. Repair, not easy.

Got this a few months ago. Been sitting for 30 years. Put dropped spindles and springs in it to make sure it sits right before I take it apart. Plan to do a mid 60's mild custom look.
This was owned by Jim "Clean" Martin. He was a long time member of South Bay Racing Association and ran this in Pro Gas around So Cal. Jim passed away several years ago and his wife still has the car. Last time I saw it, it was still sitting on the ramp truck he hauled it to the strip on.
