kinda hard to find, but the best glass cleaner out there is Bon Ami cake...this is what old school signpainters use to clean glass before doing gold leaf lettering on glass.
Glass has to be perfectly clean for gilding to work...Bon Ami is the only stuff that cleans well enough for the process, just takes a lot of scrubbing.

I had forgotten about that stuff. My dad does sign work and striping, but hasn't done window work in a long time. That stuff really gets it cleaner than anything else, but IMO is too much work for what it's worth. It certainly does clean well though...no doubts there.

Back in the 80's we did ALOT of indoor car shows, we always waxed the windows with car wax. gave them an extra shine (reflection indoors) and eliminated streaks. But we ever did the windshields.

The premise of the Chromedaddyo product is the same. clean glass first then apply. My former wife used it on bathroom mirrors and it added clearity and depth and they anti fogged quickly.

    Not just shameless self promotion.

TCS ALL PURPOSE GLASS AND STAINLESS CLEANER. Works wonderfuly, it will clean and not harm any surface not affected by water. It is enzyme based. It comes in a gallon. If you would like to inquire about it Monday through Friday the number is 260-471-7761.I also always recommend usng a microfiber towel with any cleaning or polishing. I hope that I am not breaking any rules here.

God, I wish i can remember what its called but i bought this stuff from napa a while ago and i swear it works like a miracle. It leaves no marks what so ever. You spray it on and its like this foam and you let it soak for a while and it comes with these very soft cloths and then you wipe it off and its clear as daylight
