at the risk of soundin "not very smart" lol can anyone tell me which is better "budget wise" to hunt down another factory style wiper motor runnin off the vaccum,, or upgrading the whole thing? i have the orig motor but brackets ta hold it in place are destroyed?? dunno if it works or not. i saw a conversion kit for round 200? dunno if thats pricey er not. and was also wondering if i went this route is there jus a simple swap in from another vehicle?? i apologize for any ignorance i'm a lil new lol lol.... thanx

I went with an electric conversion. Worth the $$ in my opinion. Very easy install. This is just a matter of choice though. You're not going to save big money or big headaches either way. The vacuum wipers work fine if you decide to go that route.

  3. Minivan or SUV rear window wiper motor will do the job on the stock works for a lot less money.

Do a search in the Tech Archive. There was an article on using a Chevy S10 Blazer rear wiper motor.
