Whats up, My name is Will I recently received a 1950 Chevy 2 door coupe and dont know much about the older cars. I got started in the import crowd and have been there for about 6 or 7 years and me and my dad bought a chevy nova and started restoring and building it. I now have the 50 model as well and I really love it and have some big plans for it. I have had time to take many good pics of it but here is all I have for now.
Always liked the '49-'52 Chevys, attractive styling overall and one of the coolest looking dashes of all time. They're a good car to learn on if you don't know much about older cars. Don't know if you know it, but Corvettes up through '62 used the same front suspension as a '49-'54 Chevy car. Henrietta the '38 Ford pickup and Ozelle the '55 Ford send friendly horn honks to you and your '50 Chevy. Where in Alabama? I'm not far from the AL line, wife is from Gadsden, wife has family in Gadsden and B'ham, friends who are like family at Alexandria, went to college at Jax State, first church I pastored was at Talladega.
Welcome from New Zealand. there are a lot of '49-52 Chevy folk on the site and I'm sure you'll find HAMB a great place to learn stuff and meet nice people.
Thanks for the welcomes, I am originally from below Birmingham but now live in Huntsville for the time being.
I have always liked the 49 thru 51 chevrolets and have owned a few of them. This is a picture of one of them. Jimbo
