Hi all. Some more fresh blood for ya! I was born and raised around cars. Definately not hardcore, enough to keep me going. I currently have a 66 Chevy Corvair Corsa Convertible, 140 (4 carbs), 4 speed. NO, you cannot have my steering box. My wife bought it for me as a B-day gift, she didn't know what to get me and the $400. price tag was decent enough. I have done everything to the car myself with the exception of the machine work to the heads, rods, pistons. I did the bodywork and paint myself. Don't know what the color is, supposed to be a gray metalic. Guy at Napa messed up the color, I liked it and went with it. First time doing seats, also installed new carpet. Rebuilt the engine with deep dimple lifters and an Otto 20 cam with Fail Safe gear. Topped it off with 4 individual air cleaners. Front springs are 2 inch HD drops, which gave me about 2.5 inches after settling. The luggage rack, as far as we know, is the original 66 accessory luggage rack installed when the car was new, so I left it on. Wheels are 16x7 Torque Thrust II's with 205-55 ZR 16 BFG tires. I worked as an auto body tech for over 8 years. One of the first cars I worked on was a restoration on a 32 Ford with rumble seat. Most recent was a 37 Ford coupe. I'm currently a stay-at-home-dad. Here are a few pics before, during and after. The red thing in the back seat is a child seat. Start em young!
